Brothers and Sisters,
Today, we honor the courage and dedication of the men and women who have served in the U.S. armed forces. Their sacrifices, along with their families, have made this nation safer and stronger.
Local 4 is committed to supporting organizations that support veterans in our communities by providing them with essential tools and resources for life after service. This year, the Operating Engineers Local 4 Charitable Foundation, Inc. contributed to six charity organizations to support veterans, thanks to a successful Annual Golf Outing!
These donations include $25,000 to Project New Hope, $25,000 to Veterans Inc., $25,000 to New England Center and Home for Veterans, $20,000 to House in the Woods, $10,000 to Seabee Museum & Memorial Park, and $5,000 to Massachusetts Fallen Heroes. Our Local also supports Helmets to Hardhats each year and recently made a contribution of $10,000 to benefit the program which connects veterans with careers in the union trades.
